Emily Irene VanCamp originally wanted to become professional dancer. However, after having a time spent with her sister Katie in her role on the Ladies Room movie set, Emily began to be interested in acting. She started taking acting classes, and also landed roles as a guest on a TV show in her homeland Canada. She was on in a variety of shows, including in the series Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active, Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career after he was cast on the WB horror-mystery show Glory Days as Sam Dolan.
